JDRF advocates in North Carolina had the change to meet with their Member of Congress, Representative Walter Jones, on December 28. Attending the meeting were Beth Garner (who has 2 grandchildren with type 1), Krissy Richmond (adult type 1) and her sister Nikki, Mitchell Hofler (has type 1) with his sister Blair and parents Bill & Linda, and Robby Lane (has type 1) and his dad Bill (Advocacy Team Chair). They advocates thanked Representative Jones for his past support of diabetes-related issues. The Representative then committed to continue to support JDRF requests and others that will help the lives of the American people. The meeting lasted about 35 minutes and was extremely productive for all in attendance. Thank you to Representative Jones and his staff!
