JDRF advocate Annie Rushman meets with Representative Michael Capuano (MA-8)
Annie Rushman, who has type 1 diabetes, met with Representative Michael Capuano in his Cambridge office. They talked about the importance of the FDA remaining committed to their deadline for releasing draft guidelines for the artificial pancreas, funding research in general, and the economic benefits for the district in supporting research. She also thanked him for his past support of diabetes-related issues. Representative Capuano was grateful that his support in the past had been recognized and appreciated, and he plans to continue to be a supporter of funding for research on type 1 diabetes, as well as for all the other disease and medical conditions. Thank you Representative Capuano for an excellent meeting!
